I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctoral degree in Clinical and Community Psychology (DePaul University, 2008). I specialize in working with preschoolers/children, adolescents, and families who present with a wide range of behavioral, emotional, social, developmental, and academic concerns. These include challenges with behavior management, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and parent-child relationships. I also specialize in working with children with feeding disorders/ARFID (e.g., extreme food selectivity), and with LGBTQ+ youth.

I completed my pre-doctoral psychology internship at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA), working with children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral difficulties. I completed my postdoctoral psychology fellowship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (2008-2009), where I obtained specialized training and extensive experience in treating children and adolescents with feeding disorders, obesity, and co-morbid behavioral, emotional, and medical challenges. I then joined the MWPH psychology faculty, and later served as the Director of Pediatric Psychology Feeding Disorder services. I also worked as a staff psychologist at Chase Brexton Health services, working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of behavioral and emotional challenges. I have been in private practice in Rockville, MD since 2013, and part of a group practice (Family Compass) in Reston, VA since 2016.

I take a holistic, neuroaffirming, strength-based, and collaborative approach to therapy, working closely with clients, families, and other professionals to develop the most effective treatment plans. I use empirically validated interventions including Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems, ecological systems, mindfulness, and Growth Mindset approaches.
